Just to add:

What you pay, what you get and is it worth it ?

Talkmobile. Uses Vodafone's masts but much cheaper and nice people to deal with. At the moment they have 30GB data, unlimited calls and texts for £10 per month on a SIM only deal. I was on a deal for £9 per month; they made it £8.95 and added extra data.

HappyAsAMudlark · 13/12/2022 20:38

I'm on ID mobile. Ancient plan with 3 was finally scrapped and I was moved to a significantly more expensive tariff. Realised that ID mobile has very competitive plans, uses 3 network and unlike 3, still has free roaming in Europe for now. It also has data rollover for unused data. Overall it suits my usage and I've not notice any difference with coverage.

HappyAsAMudlark · 13/12/2022 20:40

Forgot the most important bit:
10pounds monthly, unlimited calls and texts, 40GB data with one month rollover for unused data, free roaming in Europe currently. Monthly contract, so can leave anytime.

LittleLlama · 13/12/2022 20:43

Virgin Mobile £8.32 monthly, unlimited calls and texts, 10GB data with one month rollover for unused data, free roaming in Europe currently (which is important to me).

Monthly contract, so can leave anytime.

EE, SIM only, very good coverage. I pay about £10 for unlimited everything as had an offer. DH recently moved to Sky and they are shocking around here for coverage. Fortunately he WFH and never goes anywhere much so it’s bot a disaster. But I’m not switching!

oceanbleu · 13/12/2022 20:49

O2 sim only, unlimited mins/texts and 30gb data. If you have virgin internet then it's super boosted to double data which makes 60gb. £8 per month, but it's just been increased to £9.21 I think.

AnnieSnap · 13/12/2022 20:55

DH and were with 3 mobile for years, but recently changed to Talk Mobile for unlimited calls and texts with 6gb of data for £6.20 per month. We’re very happy with the service.

Unlimited data also for just £10 that's a bargain! I've been completely ripped off for month with Vodafone paying £82 and sometimes £92 🤯

I’m with the only provider that has decent coverage in the dip I live in.

It was a special, I had unlimited calls and texts for about £5 (was a funny amount not exactly £5) and a bit of data (2GB I think) and then when I ran out a couple of times and bought extra I got a random offer for unlimited data. It was 6 months I think initially, goes up to £16 I think after that but still cheap!

ThanksAntsThants · 13/12/2022 22:34

Vodafone, £8 per month for unlimited calls and texts and 12GB data.

HereComeTheGrannies · 13/12/2022 22:35

O2. Good package but service is patchy. Sometimes I struggle even getting 3G never mind 4 or 5. But unlimited calls and texts, 320gb data (superboosted from 160gb) for £15 a month (sim only)

HundredMilesAnHour · 13/12/2022 22:41

O2. Used to be great coverage but finding them a bit patchy in central London at present which is rather annoying! Friends with EE seem to have better coverage in those areas. I pay around £25/month for unlimited everything (also covers data and calls on my Apple watch as well as my iPhone) as well calls, texts, data etc overseas (including the USA and Australia which is very useful for me).

UsingChangeofName · 13/12/2022 22:51

Talkmobile
£7.50 a month.
Unlimited texts and calls I think (can't remember, I never get anywhere near the call limit before they put it up).
2 GB of data - again, I never get anywhere near using that.
Never have any issues with reception / coverage.

BamBamBilla · 13/12/2022 23:02

Smarty sim deal 50gb £10 per month. I think they use the Three network.

justasoul · 13/12/2022 23:10

EE sim only, £10 for 10Gb data which seems expensive looking at everyone else’s but I live semi rurally and it’s the best signal here. Work phone is tesco mobile, £26/month for about 12gb but includes the handset. I think they use O2 network, not as good coverage.

AWaferThinMint · 14/12/2022 06:37

I'm on EE but that's mainly because they're the only provider who have reliable service where we live. To be fair their service has been really good.
