gadget ideas for Xmas presents and other present brainstorming

Help. I'm stuck on present ideas and time is ticking.
Can we throw around some ideas for inspiration?
Have you discovered any must-haves in the last year? (I dislike this term btw, nothing is truly 'must have' but you know what I mean)

I am particularly thinking of my DB and his male partner, and other male relatives.
Are there any cool gadget-type presents that I'd never think of myself? for the kitchen? for camping..?
the Velvetiser..?

my 'must have' is an electric underblanket - but this is only a really excellent present for single people (IMO)

Any brilliant board games or general games to recommend?
I think a HAMMOCK can be a truly excellent present and a good all-rounder (perhaps I’m just projecting now)
But I feel there must be some good gadgety things I’m not aware of, particularly for the kitchen.
