Best car for single mum with 2

Hello!

I'm new here and I've been looking through the site all day.

I decided to pluck up the courage to post.

I am 41 with 2 boys, 9 and 7. My old car just died on me and now I'm looking for suggestions for a decent/reliable car, suitable for us. We love to go camping (with their bicycles) so boot space is quite important.

I have a decent budget.

Suggestions would be great.

Not sure what being a single mum has to do with car choice
but if you want camping stuff then I’d go for an estate model . Bigger the better

Look at a skoda superb estate, I've driven Skoda for years and my superb estate fits lots of gear, you may need to get a rack fitted for bikes. I love the reliability and comfort of it and this time I went for a top spec and I absolutely love it (and hate it when my husband borrows it). Oh and keep on camping, I was a single mother camping with my son 25+ years ago and he still talks about the adventures we had (it was rare to see a mother camping without a husband here back then), its only me camping now, just got back into it last year and I'm enjoying it just as much as when my ds was a wee child.

Hi from another single mum of two, although mine are in their 20s now

I used to have Vauxhall Corsa which I found reliable and could pack loads in for camping etc.

I’d look at Skoda too. The Kodiaq is quite a big car, the Karoq is a bit smaller, but has a big boot and any Skoda estate will fit the bill.
