Hello all, short public service announcement! I have recently successfully applied for attendance allowance for dad. I will post some photos of the advice at some point which might help if you need them.
I got financial and health Lasting Power of Attorney in 2020 and whilst it was registered with the office of the public guardian, I didn't activate it online and not only have I ahem misplaced the finance activation codes, the health ones have expired.
It's not the end of the world but is causing delays which I could have avoided.
TL;DR, if you have LPA, get an online account and activate them before they expire!
