Washing!!

Huge pile and daunting how do people keep on top of it and how should I tackle this huge load.

Make up a load - maybe pick out dark stuff or all the underwear, etc and put it in the machine. I have to try to do a load each day to keep on top of our washing. The baskets are never totally empty as we dry on airers as we have no tumble dryer so space is limited

Do you have a tumble dryer? If so then the first thing to do is get on top of the current stuff by spending a day literally loading the machine with another load as soon as the previous one has finished, and that load is in the dryer. To keep on top of things, I do a set load each day that I don't have to think about, eg Monday is towels, Tuesday whites, Wed bedding etc

@IglesiasPiggl no I haven’t got one I was quite sick last week so it’s piled up more than usual I may go to the laundrette to get it done then keep on top.

Try doing something laundry related each day for 15 mins. We are a small family so every other day is enough for washing, double spin, hang on heated airer, next day fold and put away. Keep repeating ad nauseum. 🧺if you are a big family, maybe use baskets to distribute to each person’s room and then they put away themselves.
