Which is the best parking option please?

We always hang out at McDonald's and get then to call us when they are through passport control then just meet them at the pick up point.

There is a free shuttle to the mid stay car park, where you can wait for an hour for free or 2 hours for £2. Outside the terminal it is £7 to pick up.

Is it open again?

Yes, it reopened fairly recently.

Make sure you check the flight is arriving on time as my DD is currently in rome and their flight has been changed so they are arriving a few hours later than planned.

My DS is in Rome too! Ryanair by chance?He's messaged about half an hour ago to say the flight's been pushed back to 21:00; should have left at midday from a different airport...

Luckily I hadn't set off when he messaged.

@Horsemad yes ryanair! Glad you havent set off and hope they arent delayed any further! Luckily i dont have to pick up like you.

Wait at the Services as you come off the M11 until they ring to let you know that they're through passport control. Then pick them up from the verge of Thremhall Avenue ;-).

We stopped off at garage just off motorway to buy something and use toilet. We stayed in free parking bay there for 30 mins, then moved to free one hour parking at mid stay. Unfortunately, person we were collecting had to wait a while in airport, so we had to pay for an hour in the end, £5 I think.

@bilbodog, DS has just messaged to say it's been pushed back further but no time given yet...
I don't think they'll depart tonight at this rate; what time do the flights stop landing there, anyone know please?

@Horsemad sorry to see your son is further delayed - my DD was boarding around 8.30 and havent received anything since so assuming she is on her way. Fingers crossed for your son.

Hi, does anyone have any experience with using the orange car park at stansted airport? I looked on the website and it advises to prebook and pay for a parking space. So do you actually get an allocated space or do you still end up driving around looking for a space? Can you just turn up and pay when you leave as it was before the pandemic.
