Strange activity as we are moving out

Has anyone had a fluffy of strange things happening as they disturb the family home for a move??

We've been here 15 years took a while to settle and have had a few odd incidents over the years, just loosing things, a few strange noises but nothing to suggest any kind of haunting.

We are moving in January and pre Christmas have starting emptying and boxing and now almost daily are getting items breaking, tiles falling off walls, strange noises, smells, cold areas and overall really unsettled feeling.

We've got to the point where my teens want to move out asap as the stuff is happening mostly in their spaces.

It's a very old house, but we are feeling like somehow we've pissed someone off.

Is this a thing am I totally imagining this? What can I do as we have a month and I'm awake now as items are falling off shelves.

Yes.

There is a lot of change happening. It's cold and the house could be settling differently. Things are being moved and that means that the environment feels different. Old houses have odd smells with wood smoke baked into the fabric which as furniture is moved can surface again. You can find a rational explanation and if this helps manage anxiety then brilliant.

You could ask a priest round to give the house a blessing but two weeks to Christmas you would have to offer a lot of chocolate as we are super busy this time of year. I have gone to houses where weird stuff is happening. From the outside it can feel like anxiety but who knows? Standard practice is to pray. Praying a blessing may work because it reduces anxiety or because something that is lurking knows the game is up and goes quiet/moves on.

What do you need to reduce anxiety? Moving house is super stressful. If smudging sage helps go for it. If giving yourselves a good talking to about how old houses can be a bit odd helps get through the next month then great. If a DIY pray around the house praying for peace and light, a good ending and good beginnings in the new house then it costs nothing and no one need ever know.

That's really helpful thank you
