Since when did Cannabis use become so widespread?!

It seems to be everywhere? This never used to be the case years ago but wherever I go recently you can smell it! The local town centre, Christmas market recently, even the Supermarket?! When did this happen?

I agree I hate it. Its everywhere. Even on buses. Not being smoked but strong on clothing. The smell makes Me gag till I'm sick I have to get of the bus if its bad. Most people don't get what the big deal is though.
