My in laws suggested they come round and watch the football after they’d dropped the kids off (they’d had them for a few hours).
My friend, who makes me special brownies, was asking how they were and I messaged back saying - oh I’m sure they’re great but I can’t have them yet because my in laws have invited themselves round to watch the football. I don’t even like football!
Then of course I realised I messaged THEM instead of my friend. I deleted it almost immediately and my MIL was typing anyway so I don’t think she would have seen it anyway. But I adore my in laws and hate the thought that she might have seen it. I only really meant I wanted to have the brownies and couldn’t because they were coming round.
Just…arrghhh.
