Anyone washed their debit card?

Don't worry, it's not some nutty MN clean-freak post Grin

I've just found my debit card in the washing machine after it's finished a full wash cycle. The chip is still fully intact but do you think it will still work? Any experience of this?

Yeah the teens leave theirs in pockets, it's never hurt them.

In my cast experience, it's fine. Tumble drying is more dodgy, but my chip still worked for swiping, I just wouldn't have trusted it I na cash machine due to the curve

Yea loads of times. It'll most likely be fine

I love a fast resolution - thanks both - you've put my mind at ease!

Luckily it was just sat at the bottom so I saw it, otherwise it'd have gone through the tumble dryer too Grin

I've done it with my credit card, it was fine. I've also washed a passport (also fine) a train season ticket (fine) and several of the old school paper notes (fine)
I really should learn to check pockets! 🤣

We get lots of bobbles and hair clips from the 3 year old too. I don't know how!
