Just a light hearted thread

Is it snowing by you and do you love it or hate it?

Im in the northwest, snow is thick but not sticking too much as of yet, it’s a little sludgey which im not too keen of 😳

I'm in Cheshire and it's coming down well, stopping and starting
I love it, dog loves it.
It's so pretty and everywhere looks clean

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 10/12/2022 12:45

Clear blue sky and sunshine here in the south east. We did have a small snow flurry yesterday though! Was very exciting for about all of the 15 minutes it lasted.

Mrspatmoressouffle · 10/12/2022 12:45

I love how the snow makes everywhere look clean and crisp when the settles!

We’ve had it but it’s turned to mush, and now it’s raining so it will all freeze tonight

Blocked · 10/12/2022 12:48

We had snow a few days ago, as much as the winter is depressing at times the first flurry of snow is always special!

MrsSkylerWhite · 10/12/2022 12:48

Love it if we don’t have to get anywhere.

LunaLoveFood · 10/12/2022 13:05

Nothing but blue sky and sunshine in the southwest, very cold and lots of frost in the shade though.

Pinetreechristmas · 10/12/2022 13:10

Got snow a couple of days ago, but today not much left, it's just melting and no sign of more to come, just rain. I love snow, the muddy slushy aftermath not so much!

sueelleker · 10/12/2022 13:21

I'm in the SE too. We've had a very heavy frost-I prefer it to snow, you get the same effect without the inconvenience!

lilroo87 · 10/12/2022 13:22

I'm in Cornwall and don't normally get snow but we've had some today. Not loads, just a light dusting everywhere but it's really icy

Eminybob · 10/12/2022 13:25

Cheshire here and we have had a smattering.
Enough for the kids to go and have a play in the garden and build a snowman, but not enough for sledging which is what they wanted to do.

ouch321 · 10/12/2022 13:28

London- no snow, v bright and sunny so not feeling that bitter although temps are low.

RaraRachael · 10/12/2022 13:31

I'm in NE Scotland and we have none. Rarely do get any of note - maybe once every 10 years when it stops you going anywhere etc.
What used to annoy me was when my English MiL used to assume we got snowed in every year.
I hate it if I have to drive anywhere. In fact I will not drive in it nowadays.

Furries · 10/12/2022 14:52

I love looking at a snowy scene, but after a few hours I want it gone!

Luckily nothing here - cloudless blue sky, lovely and bright, but a hard frost that is still firmly in place in the shade. North East Essex.

bigbadbarry · 10/12/2022 14:54

I’m also in Cheshire and it snowed heavily around 8am then turned to horrible sleet and now is just slushy and revolting. I love proper snow.

You got the snow now? Big flakes.I'm east Cheshire

SirChenjins · 10/12/2022 14:56

We’re in Edinburgh and have it. Absolutely hate the stuff - and with freezing temperatures forecast it’s going to turn to ice. Deep joy.

MarshaMelrose · 10/12/2022 14:59

NW coast. Had some snow in the night but soon turned to rain. It rarely sticks round us. 😔

No! Horrible sleet. We are just outside Chester and rarely get proper snow - I think we are a bit close to the Welsh hills. My poor children went outside to play in the sleet earlier because they wanted it to be snowy so much 😭😭

DillDanding · 10/12/2022 15:03

Desperate for some snow. But we’re in Home Counties so very unlikely.

LittleBrownRug · 10/12/2022 16:00

Eastern England.
0 degrees, misty and a sky that seems as though it's full of snow......if that makes sense

Is it that lovely pinky purple colour with like yellow round the edges. I love snow clouds.

h78 · 10/12/2022 16:07

None in Yorkshire and quite happy for it to stay like this.

fatsinglereadytomingle · 10/12/2022 16:13

Central Scotland. Woke up to about 2 inches. Been a bright clear day which is lovely. I only hate snow when I've got to be somewhere and it causes problems or when it gets wet and slushy and dirty

AclowncalledAlice · 10/12/2022 16:15

I'm in the West country, not had snow here which is fine by me because I hate it.
