Cleaner for two hour every two weeks.

I'm pretty tidy and hoover nearly daily and dust clean the bathroom rooms regularly.

Could a cleaner do this in two hours every two weeks?

Clean bathroom (including shower screen) and mop floor
Dust and Hoover and clean the skirting boards throughout
Clean the kitchen sink worktop outside of cooker and fridge and hoover/ mop floor.
Clean downstairs toilet and sink
Mop hall wooden floor

It's a small three bed detached - small dining kitchen.

Time you doing it next time and see how long it takes you

Dust and hoover how many rooms?
we have 3 hours every 2 weeks for 2 bathrooms, one bedroom, all of downstairs (kitchen/diner, living room, hall, utility)

WillMellorsHips · 10/12/2022 11:39

With all the skirting boards - no.

sneezingpandamum · 10/12/2022 11:40

Yes that's what my cleaner managed and usually finished early

frustratedashell · 10/12/2022 11:42

I'm a cleaner, it depends on how big the rooms are and how much stuff you have on the surfaces.

FuckMyLife2022 · 10/12/2022 11:43

Depends how tidy you are/how much furniture is in the rooms/how big they are.

Mine does this as standard in 2 hours every 2 weeks- (this includes using my Neat steam cleaner because I hate sticky products/water on my tiled floors)

  • Bathroom in full which has separate shower and bath
  • Kitchen in full (small cottage kitchen with only one worktop!)
  • Utility room
  • Hoovers upstairs hallway (which is oddly long and wide), stairs

She rotates the following -

  • Hoovers the carpets/beams in the living room and dining room
  • Hoovers the bedroom carpets/beams

There’s a constant layer of dust in my house as it’s old, high ceilings with beams.

We could all say yes and then the cleaner says no, you need to speak to them. They’ll tell you how much time they need to do that or say what they can fit into the two hours.

what about your kitchen cupboards ? wipe down?

SheWoreYellow · 10/12/2022 11:47

I think you might want 2 1/2 hours.

mrsbyers · 10/12/2022 11:51

Should be doable , mine does about 3 hours every two weeks and does 4 bedrooms , two and half bathrooms , kitchen including hob and sink , utility sink , all the hard flooring mopped and hoovered downstairs , carpets upstairs and stairs hoovered, dusts sitting room etc .

mincepiepie · 10/12/2022 12:14

Thanks everyone I thing 2.5 hours is more realistic.

I can the ask for other jobs in rotation like cupboard fronts and the fireplace needs dusting/ hoovering,
sofa etc

It would take me all day due to not being a cleaner and stopping every 5 minutes for "breaks!"
