We are going to family for Xmas and flying. Something we've never done before. Only domestically. We have a generous checked in allowance even so I'm trying to make sure the kids have small presents. What hard, light but not too large suitcases do you like?

Tk maxx luggage is sometimes good.

My last case from there was an Eminent suitcase and is fab.

It has a TSA approved lock, four wheels and is hard shelled. The two halves are equal sizes. One side is completed zipped in and I put clothes in this half.

This is what I want from My next case!

I usually have it in my right hand and list it in from of me. Check it wheels straight by gently "bowling it" in the store. If it veers off course on to the next.

Also have a larger tripp and it's fine too.

I had one from there that was a timberland and was so bad I used it once in a holiday for a week and took it back and they refunded me. The wheels were awful and the stuff sunk to the bottom.

Luggage is so expensive though so be warned.

My favourite suitcases are from Tripp. You can usually buy them cheaply on Amazon.

I've just got new American Tourister suitcases and they are excellent. Light and sturdy.
