Anyone else HATE their feet being touched?

My lovely wife has just sorted my toenails out.
Why she does it I do not know!
I am horrible to her.
I cannot abide the sensation, it makes me want to hit out, to swear, to be really angry.
I cried this evening.

I read threads on misphonia on MN and I really empathise as I get the irrational anger etc.

Am I alone in this? Off to order flowers to apologise for my irritation. 😳

Why do you not do it yourself if you hate it so much?

I’m presuming you have some form of disability that you can’t do it yourself.

i utterly hate my feet being touched. I’m so ticklish there, it’s actually painful so I do feel your discomfort. You do need to try to be kinder when your wife is caring for you though.

Dh hates it. I threaten occasionally to suggest to our local vicar that it would be a great idea if he greeted members of the congregation with footwashing when dh is going. It would be entertainment for everyone else anyway. 🤣
I quite enjoy a foot massage.

Husband said when he was young his mum had to sit on his legs while his dad cut his toe nails. Even as an adult he has to psych himself up to do a few of them, take a break or leave it to the next day before he can do the rest.

The thought of a pedicure horrifies me.
More because my feet are intensely ticklish though.
I lose any ability to control my actions if my feet are touched in a tickly way.

I just hate feet in general.. mine, others... the only feet I can stand is baby feet. 🤢

This is also me. I have to warn people. I kicked a doctor in the nuts once as a teen, for not listening when he was doing a reflex test. My foot smashed down and I got him right in the bollocks

And me for many years however as time has gone on I can now accept a nice foot massage off my partner

It’s just toenails for me. Anybody touching them goes right through me. I can’t even let the duvet touch them at night.

I have severe arthritis and a couple of knee injuries have impeded my ability to get to my toes. If only I could.

2 of my grandchildren have sensory processing issues and I wonder if I do.
It is utter torment, I could never contemplate going to a chiropodist, they might not tolerate the swearing..
FindingMeno. I used to hate being tickled as a child.
One of my grandchildren delights in poking me in the side as I get so cross.

Oh well, off I go back under the bridge to contemplate my smooth tootsies and to tell my wife that I have been so accused. She will be very amused.

I hate my feet being touched, absolutely hate it. I don't swear but there again I've never been in a position where my feet are being touched against my wishes. I imagine the air would be blue if this were the case.

I can't stand my feet being touched, they are so sensitive. Ironically,my oldest DD is a masseuse,and loves reflexology,no, leave me alone. I also can't bare my naval being touched.
