Any ideas?
A long time ago randomly a hairdresser put heated roller's in and that gave my hair this amazing lift but I'm not sure I could do that myself or how ££££.

I just don't want it totally flat against my head. ( I have long hair)

Try heat less overnight curler. Less than £5 great results

Primark velcro rollers. 3 sizes, £1 a pack (different number of rollers according to size)

I have these heated rollers if your budget can stretch? Or maybe someone might still need to buy you a Xmas pressie? They take less than 10 mins to put in and you can get on with some other stuff for a bit while you leave them in. You could even just add a couple to the top of your head if you just want a bit of extra volume there. I think they're brill though and I use them to give me the bouncy blow dry look.

Velcro rollers are widely available, very cheap and come in several different sizes, including extra large for long hair.
They're easy to use, put them into nearly dry hair. Once they're in, Give your hair a blast with the hairdryer on hot for a minute or two, then another couple of minutes on cool. Leave them in for another 15 minutes or so to 'set'. You should be good to go.
if not, next time try leaving them in for longer.
