Netflix movie recommendation for 6 year old

Planning to have a movie afternoon tomorrow for DD and me. She is six but she scares easily. Extremely easily. and if anything scares her then she will refuse for the next few days to leave my side. As in she won't even be able to go to the toilet on her own let alone sleep.

a few examples of what scares her: paw patrol scares her even though She loves it. As do some episodes of Ben and holly and Peter Rabbit. With Paddington she started crying (though I admit that Nicole Kidman's character was freaky). Lion king (new) we didn't even get beyond the trailer. For some reason she's ok with Frozen so we keep watching that. Something along the lines of Peppa Pig but a movie.

She wants to see Moana but I've heard there is a scary underwater scene. How bad is it?

I'd be very grateful for suggestions. It doesn't have to be netflix though I'd be very happy if I don't have to pay for it.

Thank you so much!!

The only my little pony movie I can see is the new generation one and she's seen that.

I am reminded of an interview I saw with Nicole Kidman where she described excitedly telling her children "Mummy's going to be in a lovely movie for children acting with a lovely cuddly teddy bear from Darkest Peru!" "Ooh! Who do you play Mummy? Are you the teddy bear's friend?"

.......long pause......
"and then I realised, my children can never see this movie"

😂

My 6 year old is scared of a lot but enjoyed Moana.

One of the Barbie movies will probably be OK for her (they are as bad as you might think!).

There's also My Little Pony Movies.

I agree. Weirdly both Barbie and MLP are oddly feminist! I swear this humourless feminazi was fine with Barbie. And MLP live in a feminist collective!

Angela's Christmas is lovely, Christmas chronicles too, the barbie films are quite good actually, matilda is on netflix too.
I know you have said even Peter rabbit is scary for her occasionally but the film is great my similar aged daughter is a cryer at most films but she has loved the Peter rabbit film for ever!

My 6yo daughter is very similar to yours and she has just binged all 4 Nativity films (off school with Strep A) - she seems to love them as they are all based in the school environment so perhaps more familiar to her! First 3 are ‘free’ on Prime.
