Periods of mat leave / SAHM on linked in

I’m coming to the end of a period of parental leave and want to update my LinkedIn to reflect this. I left my last job so don’t have a current employer but need to get my LinkedIn active again as this is a good way to contact recruiters in my industry

Does putting mat leave put off employers? For a corporate role. I don’t want anything naff like “senior director and project manager: home environment responsible for two under 2s”

Maternity leave you don't normally need to call out separately as you're still employed by the company, so it just gets merged in.

If you've had a period of SAHM, I'd say it depends how long it is - if just a few months I would miss it out altogether. If it's a year or more I'd probably write "time off for caring responsibilities" or similar.
I'd put your current role as "Looking for new opportunities" or something in LinkedIn, rather than SAHM though.

Sorry yes I will now put my headline / role as “senior lawyer, specialising in M&A in tech industry” or whatever it’s just that period of leave. Approx a year off,
