Viral bugs with bad headache?

DD who’s 6 was sent home from school with a temperature yesterday and today has a really bad headache. I’m sure it’s viral and there are no flags for viral meningitis other than the headache (no stiff neck, light aversion, vomiting etc). Are there nasty viral bugs doing the rounds that cause bad headache? Paracetamol and ibuprofen not helping.

My 8 year old woke up this morning complaining of a headache, she’s got a cough and is a bit snotty, a bit dizzy.

Shes had ibuprofen, lost the bloody thermometer but I’ve got a friend popping one in later. She doesn’t feel hot though.

A few of her school friends off with the same
thing yesterday/today.

Covid? My only symptoms were a raging fever for a day and a headache that refused to go for several weeks.

I had a headache, and tiredness at the beginning of the week and tested positive for covid last night ...

I know about 5 people now who had headache and tiredness plus a temp then tested positive for Covid. Headache has stuck around for most

Ah thanks everyone. I ended up taking her to the GP as she felt so rough by yesterday afternoon and had developed throat/mouth symptoms and the Dr thought scarlet fever or tonsillitis so has given us antibiotics. Sending good vibes to everyone also feeling unwell.
