How would I know about a possible allergen?

I found a rash on my chest in 2020. So much focus was on covid so I never went to get the rash investigated. It wasn't sore or itchy. This rash remain and there's also a rash now on my neck.

It goes up and down in various levels of intensity since 2020.

I never related treated this rash at home with over the counter stuff. I am awful keeping up with a regular routine of cream applications.

Over the past week I am using an antihistamine religiously. The rash isn't as intense now. This makes me suspect its an allergy.

How would I establish what an allergy is from?

  • I don't think its washing powder because of the location. There isn't usually clothes covering the area.
  • I don't use much products on my face. I am never consistent with brands either. Unless if its just general perfumed stuff from products or hair products.
  • diet: the only foods that feature regularly in my diet is dairy products like cheese and milk and yogurt and eggs and bread.

I presume if I had an allergy to diary I would have other symptoms like a post nasal drip.

Over the past 18 months I discovered some GI issues. My diet was cleaned up a lot. I don't eat greasy foods or pizzas or tomatoes or pesto and there's loads of food on the list of trigger and banned foods.

I would be heartbroken if I had an allergy to eggs or dairy.

Also this week I am using oat milk instead of dairy milk. Would that also contribute to the rash going down along with the daily antihistamine?
