I was eating a cereal bar type product earlier and bit down on something. At first I thought I'd broken a piece off a tooth but when I spat it out it was a piece of glass! I'm now worried that I might have swallowed a bit in a previous mouthful.
I've contacted the supermarket via their "contact us" bit on their website but are they likely to actually follow this up and find out where it came from using the codes on the label etc? Where can broken glass even come from on a food production line as I thought they were designed to avoid any sort of contamination?
I just wondered if anyone had experience of anything similar and whether they actually got a proper explanation or the company took action like a product recall. It's worrying that there might be more of these items out there with bits of glass in.
