This is a great source of information on group A Strep and scarlet fever (from the superb website 'Healthier Together'). Hopefully it might answer some questions and provide some reassurance for people whilst NHS services are so utterly overwhelmed and hard to access. Speaking as someone struggling on the sharp end of it, can I make a general plea to you Mums? It is incredibly helpful if your child is unwell and you are speaking to your surgery or 111 if you have a recent, accurate temperature reading available. You would not believe how much precious clinical time is wasted while people hunt for their thermometer or fresh batteries for it. Please, either get your hands on one if you haven't got one, or make sure the one you have is available and working....
