Give me your top Liverpool tips - breakfast and museums

I'm taking my son out for the day. I'd love a brunch and found Moose Coffee - any good?
We'll likely do museum of Liverpool if reopened but where else is good? He's 10 and likes to be busy.
There'll be shopping but are there any other top picks? We've done the bus tour / Beatles things pretty recently so I wouldn't repeat that but am up for anything interesting we can do.
I'd also like an ice cream/ waffles type affair for the afternoon - not Kaspas ideally but somewhere i can get a coffee and decent cake too

Thank you 🙏

Regarding museums, there's also the Maritime Museum, Walker Art Gallery, the Tate and World Museum.

If he liked the bus tour, maybe a trip on the ferry? If you do get the ferry, there's a new Eureka science museum just opened on the Wirral side near the ferry terminal.

There is a cat cafe on Bold Street which my dc love.

Moose is excellent...also Leaf on Bold St.
You can go to the top of the Liver building which we loved.

Moose is probably the best place for breckfast but be warned there is often a queue outside. Shiraz Cafe by the Adelphi does lovely breckfasts also. There are a few different museums down by the Albert dock, arcains is great if he likes old style arcade machines, pay to get in and you can stay as long as you like everything is free. As for Waffles, Kaspers is probably the most popular but there is also a nice dessert place above five guys outside st johns shopping centre that I can't remember the name of!

Ooh fabulous. Wonder if I can book at Moose...must check.
Arcade stuff would be fab too. Off to investigate

Moose is a definite must do!

yes to museum of Liverpool but the maritime and slavery museum are brilliant. World museum is good but a bit tired now.

you can climb to the top of the Anglican cathedral for fab views of the city and across the river.

ferry is fun. There’s boat tours on the Albert docks too.

Any difference between dale street and bold street Moose?

Bold street bigger. In the more central shopping area. Dale street nearer to docks and museums.
