Cold packed lunch ideas

My son wanted to go on to packed lunches but won’t eat hot food because “people look at him” 🤦🏻 any ideas of some cold lunch ideas that aren’t going to cost me a fortune? other than sandwiches so I can mix it up a bit!

I think I had sandwiches every day at school so don’t feel you need to mix it up, but could you do

  • wraps
  • pitta sandwich (or bagels/warburton thins/subs/panini to mix up)
  • pitta, crudités and dip
  • cous cous
  • pasts salad
  • chicken satay sticks
  • fritata
  • various salads
  • can you send soup or something warm in a thermos?
  • i make pizza/tarts using puff pastry as a base, some slices of that? Or make pin wheels

mm I’m hungry now!

Pasta salad
Home made lunchables, cold meat/cheese/crackers/sliced cucumber/tomatoes
Tomato & bacon muffins/cheese onion muffins
Stuffed pittas/wraps

I always had multi section lunch boxes to put fruit/crisps/main separately but my lot were fussy eaters so I gave them a selection of what I knew they’d eat.

Quiche
Cold chicken and rice dishes, the leftovers from this are delicious cold www.gousto.co.uk/cookbook/chicken-recipes/nutty-bang-bang-chicken-rice-salad
Pasta salad
Homemade pies, pasties, sausage rolls or samosas
Cheese and biscuits with some chutney and grapes or pear
Pizza
Sushi

He won’t eat anything in a thermo because “people look” so I don’t think he will eat soup but thanks for all the other suggestions, he has sandwiches but I’m finding with sandwiches I also have to include other stuff so he is eating enough making it very expensive whereas a hot meal usually is enough on its own
