Hi

just thinking about what to get nursery staff for Xmas and I was thinking as they probably get tonnes of chocolates and biscuits something savoury might be good. Would gifting some party food instead be ok?

Maybe a little hamper with crisps, nuts, cheese?

Not nuts! Every nursery I've worked in has been Nut Free.

Good idea. Or maybe some Nosecco or whatever it's called to drink in the room.

A closed packet of nuts will be fine. They can each take something home.

Maybe ask nursery manager what they do with things if tins biscuits etc are bought in. Our old nursery used to gather them all together, then there was a raffle system so each staff member got something. Seemed fair as meant everyone took one or two tins/things home rather than working their way through them in the staff room. Didn't apply to personal gifts just the sharing ones.

Hampers always went down well when I worked in a nursery, they got put in the staff room and everyone helped themselves when they liked. Things like crisps, nice biscuits, chocolates, crackers, fancy juices etc things with a good use by date because they will probably get a lot.
