My meter has just decided to do whatever it shouldn't do.
It's a prepayment. I have £3 left on my meter. Money on the key but keeps saying token excepted then doesn't take credit.
If it goes into emergency I won't be able to sort.
I've tweeted bg help and waiting till 9am for the helpline to open.
If it can't be sorted I'm in for a cold day.
It's -2 here.
Just wanted to vent.
And before anyone says it's your own fault for having a pre payment meter , we couldn't afford to have it replaced with a normal meter .

The ‘helpline’ was upsettingly hopeless apparently.

Right I've tested
Put £5 on electric using the app and it worked.
So just the app not keeping up with the meter 🤷🏻‍♀️

If you top up with the app you also get a email with a long digit number you can manually tip up the smart meter with that long number

I have a smart meter that I top up online (refuse to be in credit )

Quite often the app ticks over and over but the smart meter always shows updates and when I've put money on

Had it since October and working much better.
It's a lot easier to top up online on th app for me

She didn't look classy for long 😂
She rubbed herself against the sofas until I had to help her.
She doesn't like coats etc and will be happy shivering, she's not got thick fur

I'm with Scottish Power and the balance on the app never matches the balance on the meter.
