Single Independent - ish holiday suggestions

I’m in my 50’s, looking for ideas for a solo holiday in the early part of next year. Probably Europe but would consider elsewhere depending on costs.

Ive been alone on a group activity holiday once, with a few day either end in cities in my own.

Also been solo in the U.K. a few times as I like hiking and staying in hostels. My budget is fairly low to mid. Not luxury. I’ve never been one for package holidays or all inclusive, but not ruling anything out.!

Hope there’s enough here to generate some ideas

Have u been with HF? I did some UK hiking with them and was pleasantly surprised, many people return again and again.
They also have European destinations for hiking but also other interests.
