Had an interview then nothing.

I interviewed for a job on Friday morning. Only me interviewing so no other candidates. I was told I’d get feedback by the end of that day. I’ve heard nothing. This morning I had an email from the recruitment agent saying that there had been no feedback yet. Does this mean I just haven’t got the job and no wants to tell me? It’s really disappointing.

It's really rude of them and reflects very badly on them. Do you have a phone number for recruitment or HR? Phone and ask if they have any information for you.

Can’t the recruitment agent chase this up on your behalf?

In her email she said the hiring manager was waiting for feedback from X. X being the person who interviewed me. But if they can’t be bothered to feedback it’s highly unlikely they want to give me the job. I just find the whole process soul destroying. All the way through the (long drawn out) interview process I’ve been told pretty much it was a dead cert. And now silence

We had a vacancy last week that only one person applied for - she was very good but wanted certain hours and it took a few days for management to authorise it.

I had similar and was worried, it turned out the hiring manager had gone off sick last minute so it might not be all bad

Could be, but lack of feedback (or to be told when) is not a good thing.

They will be doing. That's how they know they're waiting for X.

They don't get paid unless you get the job - they'll do everything they can!

Still not heard anything….. If I had a no I’d stop checking my phone.

I had similar (had to wait weeks!) and thought I hadn't got the job (was the only one being interviewed as I got in early on an insider tip).
Turns out there was a huge ruckus in the office and two people resigned (including the person who interviewed me).

I did eventually start and been there over 10 years now, so it all worked out!
