With no housework or anything to do.

Normally when they're all at school i have some sort of running around to do for work or home. Normally the 2.5 hours is so rushed i dont have time to have lunch.

Im really not one for sitting around.

No xmas stuff to do as all done.
Housework up together

I always wish for an afternoon peace but reality is i dont know how to relax.!

Not really got spare money to do much.

Read or watch Netflix? I hardly ever (well never) get any period of time where I have nothing to do, especially at this time of year, but if I did I would make a huge pot of tea, get some cakes and sit down to read a dodgy Christmas romance book or watch a cheesy Netflix Christmas film like The Knight Before Christmas or A Christmas Prince.

AlwaysFullOfQuestions22 · 06/12/2022 10:31

May watch a film - i have never sat and watched a film on my own. If everyone is out i normally find things to clean or clear out. Im so sad!

I don't enjoy reading don't even own a book.

Go for a nap!

Housenoob · 06/12/2022 10:34

Get a coffee in a nice cafe somewhere? Go to the gym if you're a member, or for a swim at the leisure centre? Or just go for a nice walk somewhere, which costs nothing. Failing that just stay in and binge on an easy watching TV series.

SleepingStandingUp · 06/12/2022 10:37

My instinct was sleep. But yeah if you never get the telly to yourself watch a movie or binge half a series of something? Go for a long walk? Sit in silence.

If you can afford it, I'd prob do pub lunch or similar so I don't even have to wash up and maybe take headphones to listen to a podcast or music?

Shock

I'd sleep.

Walk/swim/run

MaggieFS · 06/12/2022 10:43

I would take a book to a pub and get a coffee (quieter than the melee of coffee shops during the day) and read.

However, if you don't like reading... cinema on your own? Plenty of people do it.

I would have to get out of the house though or I'd feel compelled to do chores.

An online reiki sesson.

ReadtheReviews · 06/12/2022 10:49

Go swimming? Nice to actually be able to do own thing.

BubblinTrouble · 06/12/2022 10:59

I would exercise, have a long shower and then a cup of tea! I might also food prep for the evening or something like that.

Go for a walk OP! If it's anything like it is down south for us, the weather is gorgeous.

AlwaysFullOfQuestions22 · 06/12/2022 11:03

Thank you. Going to go for a walk.
