Made to Measure Curtains

For the first time ever I'm having to buy some made to measure curtains. I've been very lucky and my mum has made my curtains till now but it's too much for her now. I have found a fabric and there are lots of online places but I'm so nervous. Do any of you have recommendations or ideas of where to steer clear of. It's a lot of money if they are shoddy.

So if you're buying the fabric separately then all you need is a seamstress?
I would think the best idea would be to use someone local who has been personally recommended to you.

We used dunelm, wouldn’t recommend them! Our made to measure curtains didn’t fit and we’re very poorly made.

They have now agreed to remake them after initially refusing but wouldn’t do it again. Think an independent is the way forward.

John Lewis are good for this.

I think you're best off finding someone local to make them.

I was looking at Britannia Rose but a friend didn't have a good experience.
As others have said, if you can, find a local maker.

I did and was surprised they were actually cheaper than the "special discounts" that always seemed to appear when I was browsing the websites as a thought they would be more.
