Needles in ONS study

I need to give blood today for the ONS Covid study. I can't work out how to use the new purple and white needles. Am I meant to open them up, pull the end off?!

Yes they were horrid! Seemed to really spring out. And some dodgy looking search history now!

😂 I told them that they hurt so feckin bad I’m not sure I can do it anymore, they said tough they’re more effective than the last.. helpful!

That's annoying! I gave feedback last time that I couldn't work the needle. They just sent me an email saying they couldn't get a result from my blood. Which is unsurprising when I didn't send any!
