Anyone or their DH’s have post vasectomy underwear suggestions?

DP is having his vasectomy on Friday, he’s been told to wear ‘really tight boxers’ but.. how tight is really tight? We’ve tried looking for compression ones, and just one that visually look right fit. I want to try and help him be as comfortable as possible and read that the better the underwear the better/easier and quicker the recovery. So has anyone any suggestions on some really supportive, breathable underwear for post vasectomy?

DH went a size down in underwear for his, and went for fitted boxers not loose short style ones. A pair of smaller sized cycling shorts over the top too

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I came on to ask exactly the same question. Is it worth spending £££ on boxers with a 'pouch' for post-op, or just go for standard M&S Y-fronts?

When DH had the snip (15years ago), y-fronts were the required post op underwear. He did however have a lot of bruising and swelling, so maybe the tightness advice would have helped.
