Did orthodontists work during lockdown?

Just interested to know what happened to people with braces over lockdown?

I had an adult brace pre lockdown (private orthodontist) and had lots of appointments to adjust it in line with the ongoing path to straight teeth.

They weren’t allowed to do anything that created an aerosol spray that could get the virus airborne. DS should have finished his orthodontic treatment late summer 2020 bug it trundled on into 2021.

My dds appointments were cancelled for months so she wore her braces for an extended period of time compared to what she should. Think they just saw people in an emergency

I think they were delayed for a while, and certain things got done without aerosol eg changing wires, and some weren't. Obviously not many treatments were started.

No. Ds had his braces on for months longer than planned.
