I need your help Merseysiders 😁 I'm planning to meet a friend in the city centre just before Christmas, we're both travelling an hour each way by train and will probably meet at Central or Moorfields station. We want a nice lunch and a few wines, can anyone recommend somewhere that's relaxed and doesn't cost £££?

Pen Factory on Hope Street is nice!

Duke Street Market is great.

Italian Club Fish on Bold Street! Or Free State Kitchen (slightly longer walk).

Hibiki on Renshaw St if you like Japanese. Tbh just take up Bold Street and then head towards Chinatown, you're bound to find something good!

Salt House Bacaro on Castle Street then over to The Alchemist for cocktails.

If you want really cheap but excellent food, drink and atmosphere then Casa Italia right by Moorfields is the place, then on to Hummingbird for cocktails.

Won't you both be coming in to Lime Street?

I was going to suggest Duke Street Market too. Really relaxed, choice of food and nice drinks.

Thank you, I'll take a look at all these places!
