DD is 7 weeks old and breastfed. She does bring up milk especially if I lay her down too quickly after a feed. This afternoon she had a feed and I lay her down on the changing table immediately to wipe some milk from her face and arm. She turned dark red and screamed, raising her little arms and her face and arms shivered for a moment, sort of like if you bear down really hard. I don’t think it even lasted for a second. But she did sort of hold her breath during that split second (as she often does if she chokes on my breastmilk or brings up milk/stomach acid).
I picked her up right away and she’s been completely normal since then but it’s been playing on my mind. Doesn’t look like the infant spasm or fitting videos I have seen on YouTube but can’t get the image out of my mind. Does this sound like normal reflux or could it have been a fit? She is well and has no fever or illness.
