Lake District Christmas suggestions/trips?

On holiday in the Lake District for a week. We really need some Christmas cheer. Which towns/villages have some lovely Christmas lights? Or anything Christmas on, or lovely shops, or a market, or carol service or anything? Or a pub/restaurant/cafe with amazing decorations?
i just need lovely warm feelings.

I’d go to Booths supermarket and pick up their Christmas book, and then make myself a delicious hamper up from their food.

Cartmel is the home of the sticky toffee pudding so I’d start there!

We used to go to Grasmere round Christmas, it's always pretty. No idea about lights. Can't imagine there would be too many.

For lovely Lake District paintings if this is your thing seconding Grasmere for Heaton Cooper shop/gallery/cafe. Also not sure about lights there but all kept quite simple usually, maybe Keswick? For a bit more tacky in a Christmas way Hayes Garden Centre in Ambleside.

Appreciate that. With a car we’ve hit all of the lakes nearly so far, the coast etc. Distance isn’t a problem.
