Shoebox parcels 13-17yr boys suggestions

We are doing shoebox type gift boxes for our local DA women's refuge, the category they are most short of is 13-17yr boys and girl. I've got a teen so girls boxes are easy....

Parents of boys what can we put in them?? Obviously needs to be cheap but cheerful.

What are you doing for the girls? Will give us a better idea!

I try to do boxes for teen boys after hearing that these are usually in lowest supply. As a mom of a teen boy it really pained me to hear this. I try to mirror what I put in my son's stocking, so stuff like...

We got (at ds' insistence - as a 15yo boy he said this was essential!) a deflated football and pump. This did mean I had to use a slightly bigger box than the one I had which was fairly slim-I got one for men's shoes and that was fine.

He also suggested a soft toy keyring. He said that they might like soft toys (he does) but not want to admit it, so a keyring one they could pretend to need the keyring.
He also suggested Top Trumps footballer cards. He said that even if they didn't like them they might play with younger siblings.

Agree with deflated football and pump. It can be shared.
