We have had so many issues getting our provider to simply send out a bill that’s accurate

we have a baby so have to have heating on. Is it best to just have radiators on in the room we are in? Or use the gas fire instead? Or plug in a heater?

I know it depends what tarrif etc but what’s cheapest in your home?

feeling overwhelmed and worried.

Depends very much on the efficiency of the gas fire! Gas should be cheaper than an electric heater as, if you are on a standard tariff as most of us are, gas is capped at 10p per kWh and electricity at about 34p per kWh. As to whether the radiators are cheaper than the gas fire, I would hazard a guess at using the radiator, only n the room you are in, would be best as most gas fires use a lot of gas and are not as efficient as a modern condensing boiler. Good luck!

Second point! Do you have a smart meter? If not, then I would ask for one as you can see how much energy you are using and compare one system with the other.
