Christmas crackers which don't contain plastic tat?

Any suggestions for crackers which don't contain plastic tat and don't cost the earth? I've seen some in Lakeland but £20 for six is quite steep!

I bought these a few days ago. No plastic tat! They look lovely too www.bmstores.co.uk/products/festive-nature-luxury-christmas-crackers-6pk-389404

The ones in Poundland don’t have any gift inside. Just a joke and a hat!
..if you want a low budget option 😬

I buy fill your own crackers (£8 for 6 - good quality with hat and joke) and fill with my own gifts. This year its chocolate, last year did alcohol miniatures and have also done jewellery, useful mini tools etc. I really enjoy finding little things to fit into the crackers.

Waitrose have ones for £10 which have game cards in (I think charade type etc) rather than gifts.

Sainsburys - can't remember how much I paid, but less than a tenner for 6 crackers. I think they have cardboard Xmas tree decorations as the "gift".

Make your own

I bought the hotel chocolat ones for this reason 😋

It's surprisingly easy to make your own crackers and so much more environmentally friendly! Get a cracker kit, use leftover toilet or kitchen rolls, and do your own gift inside. The kits come with jokes.

Yeah I got some fill your own from M and S last January in the sale. Bought some personalised lego figurines to put in them along with a chocolate.

All John Lewis crackers are free of plastic and recyclable.

MIL brought some with different bells in them one year. DC loved 'conducting' and making music. We still bring the bells out for Christmas dinner several years later.
