Vinted: Posting a large item

I'm selling a pair of boots where the original box dimensions are 38cm × 48cm × 15cm.

Unfortunately I can't find a spare post bag large enough to wrap it in.

I'm going to have a look in the po later to see whether they sell posting bags big enough.

Does anyone here know where else I may get them that size or if you've sold large items like that before, what did you do? I do have some bin bags but they seem too thin to be secure. Thanks.

I'd use a large carrier bag first and sellotape it flat down. then something like a bin bag, and lots more sellotape around and over the parcel. Garden refuse sacks are stronger than ordinary bin bags. If you're using a stick-on address tag, I'd sellotape that down too. Make sure not to leave any loose bits of plastic that could get caught on anything.

Sellotape is stronger than the plastic bin liners etc so plenty of it will secure the parcel.

(Other brands of sticky tape are available!!)
