Scam calls from Amazon?!

Is anyone else receiving scam calls, allegedly
from Amazon, all starting from
07912 numbers?
i am getting hundreds of the darned things, all from different numbers so when I block one, another comes. I’ve reported to Amazon.
it’s a recorded voice the other side.
because of the volumes I’m getting anxious that it’s genuine

Amazon would send you an email if it was a problem with an order or payment so I’d think they’re scams.
Have you put your number in an advert recently ( I get a scam call within two hours of putting something on gumtree if I put my number) or entered it somewhere online ?

I had this on sunday. 23 calls in 90 minutes.

Have just checked the call log and they don't start with the same number..all of mine started with the first 5 digets of my number
Check it is not the same for you OP and maybe delete your first post if it is.

Do you have Amazon prime that's about to renew? I ignored calls from them one year and they were genuine calls to remind me to cancel I think.

You can check through your Amazon account, though - I'd probably do that rather than talk to them as it's more likely to be a scam

If it's anything like what I was having, it is yo say a purchase of £619 has been made on my account. Press 1 to confirm it was you 2 to dispute ect.

Was easy for me to know it was a scam.....I don't have an amazon account

Yeah I got one today saying something about £600 on my account. I just hung up.

Omg phew thank you, glad I checked, it was the sheer persistence that made me concerned! Everything was screaming ‘scam’ but the barrage of calls made me question it. Different numbers from mine but thanks for that 😊

Yes inhad one this morning. I usually ignore but it was a mobile it came up on my screen through Bluetooth in my car. I answered it. 1300 quid apparently. I have 2 step log in for my bank and for amazon so I knew it was a scam
