Oh, I’m worried about chilblains. They need mittens. What are their names and where do they fit in the Playmo family?

They were running around and felt too hot for mittens!

The children are Kurt, Frieda, Jutta and Noel. Kurt, Frieda and Jutta are the children of Gisela (they all come from the sled carousel set). Noel (from the child and snowman Special set)is the child of Johann and Brigitte (from the Christmas Market set).

Noel, an appropriate name of any.

Oh, I love the yellow beret and green shoes combo!

I've probably asked this before, but do you make up their names yourself, or is it what everyone calls them? I particularly like Gisela - pronounced Geez ur lu (hard G!)?

DC are always too hot for mittens. Or many clothes. When it snowed on Sunday night there were lots of children out in pjs. I felt cold just looking at them.

It’s lovely that the children are such friends.

We make up the names ourselves. Playmobil never used to have named characters, although now they have introduced a lot of franchised sets with named characters. We're not very interested in those though, and like to name our people ourselves.

I don't think Playmobil would have come up with Norman the Foreman, or Sir Ospringe Bapchild, or Bossy Ross!

And yes, it's Gisela with a hard G in the German way.

i knew a Gisela once. She’s probably well off this mortal coil now but she was impossibly elegant and reminded me on Princess Grace.

I so wanted her husband to be called Fritz or something. He wasn’t. But he loved a mitten. (Seriously)
