Is this pregnancy test reliable?

I’d appreciate some help as I’m feeling really anxious at the moment. I took a frer which has come out faint positive but definitely pink so I don’t think it’s an indent. I have noticed the test itself doesn’t have the ‘pregnant/not pregnant’ writing on the side as it usually does. It came out of a frer box from Superdrug. Have they changed them or is this a dud test I should ignore?

That looks pretty positive to me

SavingKitten · 30/11/2022 19:37

I don’t think it matters what box it came out of or anything like that, it’s clearly a positive test OP

Jasmin75 · 30/11/2022 19:41

Thank you both I just don’t think I can get my head around it as we have been trying for 3 years!

That is definitely and clearly positive! Yay!

drkpl · 30/11/2022 19:57

Aww congratulations, it definitely looks positive! Take another one if you want to be sure, first response tests are extremely accurate. 😊

Jasmin75 · 30/11/2022 20:03

Thank you all, Is it definitely a genuine first response? I’m scared it’s a joke one or something!

I kept FRER in bloody business and have had both the ones that say it and the ones like you've pictured. Both the same test and that is absolutely a positive. Huge huge congratulations OP and a happy healthy 9 months to you!!

Nancienoo · 30/11/2022 20:12

That’s a positive but to put your mind at ease buy another tomorrow x

TheArtfulScreamer1 · 30/11/2022 20:26

I took one like this after IVF treatment which resulted in my DD, you're definitely pregnant it's just a different design.

How many dpo are you? If you do another in 2-3 days you should see the line get darker

Jasmin75 · 30/11/2022 21:08

9dpo, I will test again first thing on Friday thank you all x

@Jasmin75 hi OP sorry I came across your post as I've literally posted the same thing with a frer today! I had very faint on 3 tests 11dpo and 12dpo today. Can I ask did yours result in a pregnancy?

Napmum · 17/03/2023 10:26

Congratulations! I'd you're struggling to trust it. Wait a few days and take another one (to be sure).

After three years of trying I can imagine it makes it even more difficult to believe.

Journey2022 · 17/03/2023 12:08

@Napmum thank you! yes I'm really sceptical but at the same time I've never even seen a shadow on a pregnancy test before so this can only mean something is hopefully happening even if its not a viable pregnancy. I'm going to test the next few mornings (going out to stock up on more tests!) I'll no doubt be on here asking multiple anxious questions too 😆
