So I just texted my boss this...

... and I'm never going to live it down, am I?

I have an interview soon. I got frustrated trying to find clothes for the day today and texted something along the line of people who have huge boobs have clearly never spent time trying to find something that fits without looking like Mrs Doubtfire.

Only instead of texting my friend I sent the message to my boss, who has a very similar name. I apologised about a million times and phoned him to do so, too, and he is taking it in very good humour, saying he won't mention it when he sees them next.

I'm never going to be able to look him in the eyes again, am I?

Please tell me your embarassing stories to cheer me up?

I actually find his reply a bit creepy.

Haruka · 30/11/2022 19:38

I assume he meant my new clothes.

I actually find his reply a bit creepy.

Agree.

Haruka · 30/11/2022 19:40

No, he really is a very old-fashioned gentleman. One in a very happy and very long relationship, at that.
It's definitely the clothes he was referring to.

Well at least it was about your boobs and not the interview!

Haruka · 30/11/2022 19:41

He knows about the interview and supports me in getting the job. It's a step up from where I am now, which my workplace can't offer.

It's fine stop making it such a big deal and move on

Haruka · 30/11/2022 19:48

Well, I don't know about you but I work in a very stiff, professional environment. It kind of is a big deal. It's also embarassing as hell talking to my boss about my boobs. I wanted some stories to make me feel better.

I actually find his reply a bit creepy.

I would say her message was much more inappropriate!

Don’t worry OP it could have been so much worse!
And hopefully you’ll get the job so you won’t have to see him much longer 😁

Oooooooooooooh · 30/11/2022 20:30

God , why do posters say it sound creepy , he was trying to make light of her text . Honestly @Haruka really don't worry about it and best of luck for the interview

Bonjovispyjamas · 30/11/2022 21:12

Aww, don't worry OP. I Work as a nanny and had just started a new job. My best friend and I affectionately say "hi tart" when we text each other and I somehow sent a text with that on to the dad in my new job, not sure how 😬

Haruka · 03/12/2022 05:17

Well, it all had a happy ending. Boss wasn't fussed and we managed to have several professional discussions without a boob in sight (or mind) since. And I got the job I interviewed for, so will not have to live this down for too much longer anyway 😁
