Rash like scarlet fever but not ill

DD(8)s back and torso are covered in a bumpy itchy rash. She doesn't feel ill, no sore throat, no unusual food or change of detergent. Any ideas what it could be?

Has she still got it? Has she been checked over by a doctor?

Allergy rash? Heat rash?

I get rashes like this all the time and my kids which are normally due to allergies, have you given them any antihistamines?

Does it feel rough? The scarlet fever task feels very different to a viral rash. It’s rough, like sandpaper.

If it’s rough then yes it looks like scarlet fever

That looks exactly like the Scarlet fever rash mine had. He wasn’t particularly unwell with it. Take her to the doctor.

My ds had a rash like this back in December 2020. He broke his wrist and had to be tested for covid as he was staying in for an operation and he tested positive. It was the only symptom, which I didn't even realise was a symptom, but a rash is common in young children.

She’s got a virus. As she doesn’t feel ill, it’s probably one she’s got some immunity to. Covid? Scarlet fever? Strep A? We can’t tell you. You’ve done the meningitis glass pressure test, right? Get a telephone or video appointment from a doctor. I’d avoid taking her into the GP practice unless you have to, in case she passes it to someone vulnerable.
