Holes in my t-shirts

Why might this keep happening, does anyone know? Almost all of my T-shirts develop tiny holes in them, around my belly button area (I don’t have a pierced belly button so it’s not catching on jewellery).

It’s driving me mad!

I had the same. It's the zipper on your jeans...

I get this, mainly on my work tops. I think it's where my work lanyard has been trapped between my desk and top. Always in the same place.

I had this too! I thinks it’s the button/belt on your jeans rubbing. Mine stopped happening when we got a dishwasher and I wasn’t stood leaning against the sink regularly! I guess the worktop was perfect height for catching tops between it and the jeans.

Granite worktop is a likely culprit.

I get this, but can be anywhere! I've had one near the neckline, so def not a zip doing it. It's one of those strange mysteries...
Actually, I think sometimes they get caught I. The washing machine or tumble dryer, and it's t-shirt fabric that seem to tear.

I’ve stopped getting this problem since I started using these:

Used to get this on my work tops from the zip on my trousers when I was again the desk

kittykarate · 30/11/2022 14:05

I get them from certain types of belt buckles, my work lanyard and the rub of my zip/button when it's jammed against a desk.

Marmite27 · 30/11/2022 14:06

Mine do exactly the same I concluded it was the button/zipper on my jeans.

Well now I think about it there’s a T-shirt I only wear with leggings that doesn’t have holes in it and it’s years old, so yeah it must be from my jeans. How annoying!

Thanks for the button cover website, I’ll give those a try and see if they help.
