How would you spend a day off work?

I booked AL today but the event I booked it off for had to be cancelled. I don’t want to waste the day - what would you do instead?

I’m tempted to have a lazy day at home…but I am due to start a new job soon and my AL is very precious. My leave will be pro-rata calculated using my leaving date so I won’t have a full annual leave year allowance and may have to repay anything extra taken - so it feels wasteful not spending it wisely!

Self care , meeting a friend, odd job or seeing a movie.

I'd go for a long walk incorporating a cafe stop where I would treat myself to coffee and mince pie. once home I'd have a bath face pack etc then curl up with my hot water bottle and book...bliss, 😀

I’ve booked all this week off as I have a few weeks left to take. I’ve told no one as they fill my time for me.

I’ve spring cleaned all down stairs, and part of upstairs. Just two bedrooms and a study to do. Then I’m putting up my decorations, except the tree which will be done at the weekend.

finally, I’m wrapping all my presents and going into the city to wander round alone, in peace, at my own leisure without having to consider anyone but me.

i love the solitude and getting things done. For me, well worth using the leave.

I love exploring a new town or city ... not necessarily shopping but looking at local architecture, places of interest, a nice lunch or coffee out. I work part time and frequently spend a day like this .. on my own .. I love it. DH is retired now but I still insist on my days of solitude Grin .

Drive up to North Devon to go for a walk along my favourite beach and then stop off for fish n chips on the way back.

My idea of the perfect day is to wake up early ( 6am) and enjoy a coffee and a small breakfast . Go for a long run . The endorphins are everything ! Get home and do some stretching, have a proper breakfast & have a nice long bath ! Do a bit of cleaning. Head out for some shopping, maybe some self care too ( hair salon or my nails done ). Then end the day with an early dinner ( with a few drinks ) with friends and go home to watch a movie in bed asleep by 10pm !
