Molten brown set
Dressing gown
Pyjamas
He's asked for a car polisher so I'll probably get that too 😁perks

stuntbubbles · 29/11/2022 22:26

A book. Well actually he’s bought the book for himself but will hand it to me to wrap and give to him, when it arrives in the post.

Thinkwicebeforeyouleavemylife · 29/11/2022 22:26

Super strong coffee beans
Nice heavy glass for his whiskey
Mug
Socks, slippers, pants, some basic t shirts for lounging in
New headphones
Little cleaning kit for his computer and keyboard (he is a software engineer)
Some of his favourite snacks
New pj's.

So a mix of stuff he needs, stuff that's useful and a couple of little novelty bits. We are very practical people and prefer buying (and receiving) practical presents.

Our joint present to each other is a new vacuum cleaner 👌

Smarshian · 29/11/2022 22:29

Clothes:
2 shirts, some basic t shirts and a cable knit jumper, pants
aftershave.

MushMonster · 29/11/2022 22:33

Another oodie from Primark. They are great! Really warm and cosy. They also have really nice fleece pjs, but he did not want one. My DD and got them though.
Also:
Leather document folder engraved with his name
A framed map to go by his desk
A warm cardigan
A pocket watch (his granddad had one and he always mentions it)

BuryingAcorns · 29/11/2022 22:36

A new back pack
A big wooden chopping board (he's the cook in the family)
Bamboo Socks
Italian cantucci biscuits
Molten Brown bubble bath

Jack Pyke hunters jacket for walking the dogs.

Jeremy Clarkson diddly squat farm book

Two pairs of casual trousers, pair of jogging pants

justasking111 · 29/11/2022 22:43

OH and a nightshirt. It's like a teeshirt but knee length. Bought him one last year. He loves it in colder weather.

dancingqueen123 · 29/11/2022 22:47

Possibly a BBQ

Liz1tummypain · 30/11/2022 10:19

@Benjaminsniddlegrass
hiya, I'm very much tempted to try out your idea of a cookery lesson via the BBC Maestro site. Have you heard from anyone who's taken such a course? The price seems ok, I just don't want him getting too many fancy ideas, haha!

I have no idea. DH is impossible.

Theo only thing that I’ve bought him in the last few years that he’s actually used has been one of these, which he puts little cables in. Oh and some alarmingly expensive sheepskin slippers.

Nothing. We are only doing presents for the grand-children.

We'll be having a 3 generation family Christmas (first time in 3 years) and will be spending what we usually spend on presents on nice food and wine and meals/days out.

Flying to UK with hand luggage only, so not much room to take any presents with us and no option to bring much back.

Makes it nice and simple. 😎

Isseywith3witchycats · 30/11/2022 15:40
