Should I be worried about post partum period

Period has come back 8 weeks pp and I've never had one like it, it's so so heavy, I can feel it gushing out. I'm sorry I know that's graphic !
I flooded in bed last night, through my pad, pjs and onto the duvet, never done that before.
I know if I'm filling a pad in an hour I should call for medical advice, im filling I'd say nearly all of a pad, it's filling the width and half to 3/4 of the length if that makes sense ?

Guess I just don't know if this is normal.
With my first it was vaginal birth and nowhere near as heavy as this, this time I had a c section, not sure if that's relevant.

Anyways if anyone can tell me if their first period was really heavy too I'd like to hear.

Just an update if anyone googled the same sort of thing and found this, it seems to have slowed down now, can still feel it coming out but only intermittently now 👍🏻 so seems it can be normal, as bad as it was at the time !

My first period post c sec was horrendous. Exactly how you describe. It was only bad for that first one and then settled down.

@BigBunkers good to know. Mine are normally light, I expected it to be heavier obviously but this is something else!

Yeah the first period is horrendous, they get better. Take an iron supplement and see a medical professional if you think it is of concern.

Mine was really heavy but I would ring 111 just to get some medical advice.
