Does anyone else have trouble getting boots on?

Is it just me? I'm dyspraxic and have very weak, loose ankles which probably doesn't help but I often really struggle to get boots on even if they aren't very high. I had to try on 10 pairs yesterday before I could find a pair that I could slip into. Once they're on I have no trouble

Does anyone else have this problem?

Oh yes.

got worse as I get older.

Ive got high insteps, one ankle is semi fused and I “go over” on the other one a lot. By which I mean my whole ankle gives way, so that the outside of my ankle bone hits the ground. That’s the result of physio as a child, which made me walk on the outside of my feet, and which caused the accident that buggered up my ankle.

not fun.

Not so much getting them on, but getting them off. Especially wellies!

Yes, very much so. For me it's because I have very high insteps. I remember in the late 70s - early 80s there were these pixie boots people were wearing and I absolutely longed for a pair but couldn't get any of them on.
