AARRGGHH anyone work for the Passport Office?! HELP!

Hello all,
I know, I'm an idiot. We are due to go on a holiday of a lifetime to Lapland on 19th Dec. All booked months ago. Just realised that my younger daughter's passport doesn't have quite three months left on it by the time we return.
We should have enough time for the week fast track service but that part of the website is down - just says 'currently unavailable'. Does anyone know anything else I can try?! Or anyone work for the Passport Office and can advise when that service is likely to be back online?

Obviously no guarantees but I sent my daughters off and had new one back in just over a week (it arrived a few days ago so recently)

Worth giving them a ring to see if you can book over the phone?

Keep refreshing the page as appointments do get released sometimes. Also there's a great Facebook page with advice on which is worth joining for up to date advice.

Not sure why you need the website except to tell you what to do...in my case last week:
Monday - collected paper application form from Post Office
Tuesday - had appointment at Passport Office in London, there seemed to be plenty of appointments available
Saturday - received passport.

Should be very easy for a renewal, you need hardly any documents at all (in my case, none). Not sure for an under-16 renewal though, but the form from the Post Office was pretty clear.

Thanks so much for all the replies! I got an appt tomorrow morning so hopefully will get it sorted. I was running around like a headless chicken….
if anyone stumbles on this thread and could use the info, I spoke to someone on the phone and was told they release new appts daily between 9-10am!
